Beck Wadworth's local's guide to NZ
WORDS: Beck Wadworth // @beckwadworth

If you’re on Instagram and like to follow people with incredible taste, chances are you’ve already heard of Beck Wadworth. The Founder and Creative Director of An Organised Life has been a mainstay on the ‘gram since before influencers were even a thing. And her refined, minimalist style is echoed in both her home, and her brand which has expanded beyond the must-have diaries that every stylish Aussie needed to have to include gratitude journals, wedding planners, and limited edition collaborations with artists (her current Elissa Barber collab is next level).
Originally from New Zealand, Beck spent years living in Sydney before moving back to her homeland two years ago. “I’m loving being back. When I made the move to Sydney after university in my early 20’s I knew it was temporary and I wanted to push myself personally and professionally during that time,” she says. “I’m so grateful for the opportunities I had in Australia – it was where I started my brand and made lifelong friendships – however I always planned to settle down in NZ. Now I get the best of both worlds with home being NZ and my business in Australia.”
Now based in Auckland, she says it took a while to settle back into the city where she spent her university years. “Moving back in my late twenties I felt like I was discovering a whole new city and it took a while to find my groove. But I’m a positive thinker, and I threw myself in the deep end & really made the most of this new phase of life,” Beck says. With a love of the culture, the people the laid-back vibe and of course the breathtaking views she’s very happy to call New Zealand home, and with a pre-Covid life of travelling 49 times in the past year (!!!) there is, she says, “nothing better than coming home to a familiar way of life. To a routine, to my favourite coffee shop, to my friends and loved ones.”
Who better then to share their best NZ wellness tips and local’s-only knowledge than the woman who has a following dedicated to her considered, and perfectly curated life edits? Grab a pen and take notes as Beck Wadworth shares her local’s guide to New Zealand.
NZ’s Best Pilates Studio
Wild Pilates in Newmarket. I have been doing reformer pilates here for two years and I’ve never felt better. Finding balance in your life is so important.
Beck’s Favourite place to go for a walk
I go for a walk daily from the Parnell Pools to the Orakei Marina. I play a podcast and look at the views of the ocean and Rangitoto.
NZ’s Best Coffee and croissant
The first thing I do when I wake up during the week is make a Nespresso coffee that I take back to bed. But on the weekend my favourite local for my coffee and croissant is Rosies in Parnell.
the best place to get back to nature
The Marlborough Sounds. It’s my hometown and this spot is incredibly raw and. untouched. The views are breathtaking.
NZ’s Best pasta (and lunch… and dinner spot)
The burrata and pastas are always a must at Amano - they constantly change & are paired with beautiful seasonal favourites. It’s my go-to for lunch or dinner. Orphans Kitchen is my favourite for breakfast.
beck’s top rec for fresh veggies
I love ordering from Service Foods.
the best NZ spa TO RELAX and de-stress
East Day Spa. One word - relax
BEST PLACE IN NZ FOR VINTAGE shopping
I love finding second hand furniture finds! Babelogue is my go-to along with Her Harvest and Sunday Market Store.
beck’s favourite “Ultimate NZ” experience
NZ is about getting out and experiencing nature. Driving from place to place – and of course, fish ‘n chips or a kiwi BBQ in summer.
