A Sound Life Dome in Sydney

A new wellness venue has opened in Sydney and it may just be the most inspiring pop-up we’ve ever seen. A Sound Life Dome in Moore Park will serve as a space for yoga, music and wellness events where the proceeds are poured back into programmes facilitating free music, yoga and meditation for underprivileged members of the community. It’s an initiative of A Sound Life, which is a charity dedicated to serving in-need members of the community through workshops and classes in yoga, music and meditation.

Organisers hope the Dome will serve everyone, not just those lucky enough to afford a yoga studio membership. “Everyday wellbeing is a human right, yet millions of people can’t access it,” A Sound Life founder Edo Khan says. “The Dome is designed to transform lives, empower individuals and unite communities – not only by providing a space for people who work long hours and in a fast-pace society to feel calm and rejuvenated, but ultimately by helping to deliver thousands of magical moments to people who need them most.”

The geodesic structure has been custom built to optimise energy flow, and features a rose quartz crystal buried at the centre to help ground the space and promote compassion, peace and healing. Plus, there’s already an epic line-up of events planned including LoveFest, Sound Shower and Yoga Play. Legendary teachers including Forrest Yoga, Shiva Rea and Duncan Peak, and musicians Ben Lee, Lisa Mitchell and Lenka Kripac are also scheduled to appear.
