Tomorrow marks the first new moon, a partial solar eclipse in Capricorn. It’s the first in a series of eclipses that will take place over the next 18 months,  the first in the sign of Capricorn for seven years (the last Capricorn/Cancer eclipses were in 2011). Pay attention to emotions, opportunities, people who surface around this time – this is a prologue of sorts.

This phase of the lunar cycle is always about intentions, but in Capricorn you can really get serious about goals. Cap is patient, resilient, focussed, reliable. Harness the energy by asking if what you’re doing today in alignment with where you see yourself in 1, 3, 5 or even 7 years’ time (think: Anne Hathaway in The Devil Wears Prada when she realises Runway isn’t helping her get to where she ultimately wants to be)? This is the time to be really honest and take responsibility for areas where you’re expecting big things but haven’t been doing the work.

Write down where you want to be – in your relationships, your work, your outlook. Be as descriptive and vivid with your description as possible, really set the scene. Now is the time to plant the seeds..

This is heavy stuff but Capricorn is above all else, honest. You don’t need to know the exact details of how you’re going to get there just yet, you just need to make a start putting one foot in front of the other in the right direction. This Cap energy has serious endurance and isn’t afraid to take on things that will take time to come to fruition.
